Chevrolet Pickup Truck Rollover
Escalante, 74, was crossing at a crosswalk when he was struck by a truck and dragged along the ground. He suffered partial paralysis and a jaw fracture. His past medical expenses total about $176,500, and his future care costs are estimated at $500,000. He is retired.
Escalante and his wife hired Rob Ammons and suit was filed against the driver of the truck, alleging the truck driver was negligent in failing to keep a proper lookout. Plaintiffs also sued the truck driver's employer, alleging the company was liable under a respondent superior theory of liability.

Rob Ammons obtained a mediated, confidential settlement for Escalante's wife for loss of consortium. The settlement was paid entirely by Yellow Freight.
