1 Dead in Rollover Crash West of Phoenix
Phoenix, AZ (AP)
Authorities say the driver of a pickup truck is dead and three passengers injured after a rollover west of Phoenix.
The accident early Thursday occurred in a sandy, desert area along Interstate 10 near Buckeye. Arizona Department of Public Safety investigators say that none of the passengers were wearing seat belts.
DPS has identified the woman killed as 42-year-old Patricia John, of Buckeye. Officials say a 31-year-old man from Upland, Calif., also was thrown from the vehicle. He’s hospitalized with serious injuries.
Highway patrol officers say an 8-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy — both from California — were treated for non-life threatening injuries at a Phoenix hospital.
